Fetty Cash, a.k.a. Zodoq Banks (born Ahmad Ali Rahman), was an American conscious Hip-Hop/Soul musician from Cordele, Georgia.
Fetty Cash was the founder of the original hip-hop group Trapville Pyrates. He was also the cofounder and CEO of the independent record label Blaq Pyrate Nation, LLC, which he started with his two brothers Daruddone and Marty MacFly. Moreover, Ahmad created the entire Pyrate concept and conscious movement before it ever became a band. In elementary school, Fetty learned to read sheet music, play piano, and play the snare drum. As an adolescent, Fetty fell deep into the street life. To escape the daily stress of street life, he began writing stories, reading books, and audio recording. His early musical influences were his father, grandfather, and political rap artists such as Tupac Shakur and the Outlaws. After being expelled from high school, Fetty moved to Tallahassee, Florida with his older brother, Marty MacFly, who was in college at the time. During this time, he completed his secondary education and later became a certified welder. In December 2017 Fetty, unfortunately, met an untimely death due to gun violence in the streets of Cordele, Georgia.
